No pictures yet Leland, but look what popped up on HLJ recently…

I wish they had a little more detail, like is this the command module or the whole ship etc. I guess time will tell. My mecha collection Gamillas ships sets are on their way. I'm looking forward to the new generation of the mecha collection.

There's a couple more new items in the Mecha collection, too. Alas, no pics. Kukulkan and Lascaux classes… no idea which these are, or if its just mis-translation by HLJ. Any idea anyone?

Wait, something like this?

Sorry, getting drool on the keyboard…

Doug

Edit: And scroll down for Kukulkan and Lascaux classes. Comet Empire?

Thanks for the heads up, MM. For some reason they didn't come up last night when I searched Yamato 2199 on their site.

Dan Wideman II03 Jun 2014 7:04 a.m. PST

Also, MM according to one anime forum I found the Japanese wiki for 2199 lists the CA and the DD as the kukulcan and Lascaux classes. Now I am not sure how this fits with the "gamillas ships" box that just came out, because the images that they provide with that kit look like a reworked version of the DD.

edit: nevermind that, the link above shows them as the White Comet empire DD and Missile CA

Thanks! Did see it but got sidetracked by work otherwise would have posted it myself. SERIOUS drool factor on that beastie…evil grin

P.S. I have a quartet of the rebooted Garmilas heavy cruiser enroute as of this writing, and I will be posting pix of them repurposed as destroyers for SD:TNM… Mwahahahaaaa!!!! Igor! Zathrus! We have four new inbounds to the yard, so go wake up the work gangs, and tell 'em to bring plenty of paint!!evil grin

I'm working on a pair of carriers, a pair of BBs, and an assault carrier for the fleet contest over on SCN. They are the old Bandai models though. Still nice enough.

I've got 10 of the new Gamillas ships as well as several of the new Yukikazes on the way. I plan to use the small "extra" fighters from my old Bandai kits along with the Yukis to play a Silent Death variant set in the Yamato-verse.

Please remember us when you get it worked out; always curious to see if you go with standard SD designs, or roll-your-own, as well as any rule mods.

I just saw the Deuseula pics a few minutes ago. I didn't know I could squee like a girl. :)

That is one beautiful bad #*& looking ship.

That's a rework of an older kit, right? The shifting naming thing has me all confused.

If it IS the same, the re-tooling is worthy of a squeal or two. ;->=

Not so much a rework as the Big Boss Bad Guy's fully loaded and ready command ship/superdreadnought that lumbers into action during the final climax of Yamato 2199.

Niiiice beasty it is, and it looks like Bandai will be moving ahead with releasing the reboot equivalents of the original classic ships, and now that they've revealed to Galantian/White Comet Empire ships will be coming soon, IMHO this bodes well for us merry band of miscreants…evil grin

Just received my package from HobbyLink Japan containing four of the new Mecha Colle Garmillas warships. The quality of the moulding is orders of magnitude beyond the original mini kit iteration of this iconic Garmillas heavy cruiser, and the detailing is considerable, right down to the missile launcher vents and individual gun turrets!

As I've already worked up stats for the first generation Garmillas warship mini kit as a 10,000 ton DDG for Silent Death, I will give this newer model the same treatment, and post the end results on the Metal Express Forum when completed.

I am already redoubling my recommendation to everyone about these new Mecha Colle mini kits from Bandai. They are da bomb!evil grin

Let me guess, it's your fault their either in pre-release, or backorder. ;=>=

Okay, it's obvious, even here, you're getting help…

I'm doing my part to help him out depleting the stocks. I have 10 of most of them on order. I want to do the massive fleet battles seen in the later episodes of season 1 and especially 2 when the EDF has more than just the Yamato.

BlackWidowPilot Fezian08 Jun 2014 10:03 p.m. PST

Just finished building my first of the new Garmillas heavy cruisers from Yamato 2199, and what a sweet little gem it is!evil grin

The kit snaps together(!!!) and the fit of the parts is superb, as is the detailing and precision of the tooling! Now, tomorrow, I undercoat this little beastie and see if I can finagle enough time in the day to get another one put together so the first one won't get lonely….evil grin
