After many moons of my Wings of War (Glory) WW1 box sets gathering dust, I am selling them all and looking for a set of rules more akin to WW2 Bag the Hun which our group enjoys playing. Having not seen the Lardies WW1 rules 'Algy pulls it off' for some time now I wondered if anyone knew if an updated version of Algy was due out anytime soon or if there was an alternative WW1 set we would enjoy as much as Bag the Hun?

Thanks

Gerard

APIO looks to be still available from TFL:

While it is listed under the products list, the original version of Algy is no longer available from TFL.
There is a new version under development, but there is no sign of a release date yet. As TFL is essentially a one man band, progress depends on when Rich Clarke can turn his mind to this and at the moment he has his hands full with the follow up material for Chain of Command.
Sorry,
John

May as well… ; )

Have you ever looked at my weird game(s)?
Not beloved (and rarely understood) by many, but built upon the Lardies' flavor, imo.

If interested, email me ( gweirda at yahoo dot com ).

There was a slimmed down faster play version of Algy in the 2009 Summer Special – not sure if this'll fit the bill for you, but possibly worth a look.

I use the Wings of War planes with the fast play version of Algy that Dom has mentioned.
