I was thinking about getting into this period. Who makes figures for the FPW in 28mm? I am familiar with Foundry and I recently saw a new company (Footsore) are there any others/ Does anyone know when Footsore will start selling their figures and how much they will cost? |

The Footsore figures look well worth waiting for. The Foundry figures are very old so they won't be compatible. |

Northstar has some Prussian, but sold the rest back to Helion? Also Castaway. I put Foundry in w/ hellion worked just fine.Foundry may be old,I'll say clasasic, but they are perry's and have everything you need, and you buy three get one free. I love the Foundry I have had and still paint some since the 1980's |

I heard Huzzah, which came and went, now I believe Historicon is the launch date. At Huzzah! 2014 Footsore only had their Skraeling miniatures available, but mentioned they were working on finishing some of the Franco-Prussian War figures hopefuly in time for Historicon 2014. By the way, the Skraeling figures look good! The line has a warlord/chieftan, 4 different spearsman with small round shields, and 4 different bowmen. Besides those three packs, they were also selling enough figures in a large batch for a SAGA army as well. |

Northstar has some Prussian, but sold the rest back to Helion? Have been awaiting the divulging of this "secret", is this the case? Received 50% of a largish order for "1866" (all Prussians) from a UK shop but they have been held up completing it by lack of supply from North Star. Order placed in February, part received in April, now what, I wonder? I think a (remaining) refund will be the case
fair enough
but that's "not" getting "boots on the tabletop". Cheers, |

North Star have definitely sold the 1866 range, but not to my knowledge publically announced who to. Foundry range is absolutely superb. It truly is a 'Range', not just a few figures. It is not exhaustive, (which one is?)but it does cover most of the ground. Like many, I await reasonable figures of some of the minor German states, but that's because we are obsessive, not because there is anything wrong with the Foundry offering. Battle Honours do a good French offering, but just infantry and artillery (the only Canon de Quatre available, I believe) |

Thanks for all of the comments. Has anyone heard any updates on the Footsore miniatures or know how much the figures will cost? |

Thankfully, for those of us who do FPW in 15mm, there is a lot more of a selection. Between Old Glory 15s and Essex, I've got more metal than I can possibly paint in a lifetime. |
