An early episode of Doctor Who uses what looks to be mortar on its side to represent an "atomic cannon". link (4th picture down) I'm curious what it actually is. Or if it's something knocked together by the prop department. Thanks |

The Panzershrek – the German copy of the American bazooka. Unfortunately the nascent IP system at the time was ineffectual in shutting down such a blatant patent infringement. Wouldn't happen today. |

Thanks. I figured it was something surplus. But it seems strange that it would have been based on a German weapon instead of something British. It looks different enough (shorter barrel, different viewport orientation) I wonder if it was still scratch built by the prop department, & just based on the Panzershrek. |

Ron W D- I believe your photo labeled "Panzerbusche" is the Raketanpanzerbusche 43. The Panzerschrek in the OP is the Raketanpanzerbusche 54 copy of the US bazooka. |
