"The Heinkel He 115 was a German 3-seater floatplane that served many roles. It was designed in 1935 to meet RLM requirements for a two-float, twin-engined aircraft capable of reconnaissance, bombing and torpedo attacks. Heinkel's offering was an all-metal mid-wing aircraft powered by two BMW 132K engines. It had a bomb bay in the center of the fuselage capable of carrying a torpedo, bombs, or mines. Production started in 1939 and a total of 139 were built. The He 115B variant had increased range and subtypes with improved armament. With the short history lesson out of the way, we'll move on to the kit. The instructions are provided in the form of a small 18-page booklet with 20 easy to follow steps for construction. There is an insert concerning a correction to the float parts and an additional fret of PE parts."

Interesting aircraft design. It looks like a Bf 110 sprouted floats. Very nice kit, too. That's some pretty good detail on both panel lines/rivets, and the resin components. |

It looks like a Bf 110 sprouted floats. I think that long greenhouse canopy is the only point of resemblance. The glazed nose makes this fuselage considerably longer and deeper than a Bf-110. The Messerschmitt had smaller twin rudders, this one is taller and single. And the wings on this tub form a typical Heinkel oval. |

At a quick glance, looks like a Bf 110 sprouted floats. |
