Very nice! I just found out the family history includes a great-grand someone who was in the Black Watch at the Battle of Alma, and we have his sabre! SO I have a new interest in this period.

We tend to use rules I wrote with my pal Tim called Saber & Musket.

Yes, the lights made it to the guns, but were turned away by a Russian Cav counter-charge.
