"Forgotten"? No, obviously. Ask any war gamer who plays WW1 air combat. Anyone who reads up on the Great War knows who Roland Garros was.

But the entire subject, prior to this year, has been an "oh hum!" subject to most people. The centennial is changing that, of course.

That is a well-written piece….
