Only in a war game campaign can this kind of travesty happen.

A pic heavy report of last night's belting table-top Command and Colours action:

Very well done, sir! If there was an ancient wargaming equivalent of Oscars, quite sure you would be nominated in several categories if not a run-away winner for several years running.

Thanks for posting/sharing.

Inspiring stuff, as always! Why were Varras and Hannibal given different numbers of cards than they "should" have had?

Great viewing. When I get around to my Spanish and Gauls I will be using your guys as a guide. Shame Renegade is at the moment off the air.

Why were Varras and Hannibal given different numbers of cards than they "should" have had?

I simply had a lapse of confidence in what I had put on our campaign quick play 'map to table' notes.

The notes said, 4 for a battle value 1 commander (like Varras) plus one card per point above – so for Hannibal who has battle value 4 should get 7 cards.

For some reason, my memory and the time lapse in the campaign sessions most probably, I didn't think C&C had scenarios using four cards. It does of course – I checked later.

My mistake; could do better; slap on wrist; like an FA ref' I rise like a phoenix from the flames.

Isn't it just. I hear it's not a permanent thing, am I right?

Their Gauls, cricket bat swords aside, are the easiest to paint that I've found. Their tunics are very painting friendly to tartan-like patterns.

Who would have thought it!? Gorgeous as always…
