On the sprue painting – a new idea for me that seems to have worked OK.

Step by step walk through with paint and basing details

Hope it's of use

Nice work Tim, if you gave the flesh a coat of W&N Peat Brown too, I think you find it works

Now that's 'thinking out of the box'!

See what I did there!

I do like Peat Brown on the flesh – doing the 2nd coat all over the figure, including the flesh might well have been good, but as I was going to finish with Army Painter anyway I probably thought 2 coats of ink type stuff may be too much.

I like them.

I'm no fan of plastic 15s but they have turned out well (the detail on the battledress has come up nicely) – makes me want to play PBI this week grin

Excellent work there!

The heft and feel of plastic leaves a lot to be desired. The detail on PSC's figures is great though. Nice painting too. And I agree, if you are coming back with the Army Painter stuff, the peat ink wouldn't be a great idea.

I find the Peat brown goes into the eye sockets, mout and round the nose quite nicely – as long as the flesh coat is not too gloss or too matt.
Sometime i blow gently on the figure when I have applied the ink and it retracts into the creases, same with fingers on the hands.

Nice job on the figs. However the kit is wrong on these figures, canteens were on the right back hip not the left.

Bonjour,

Great paint job but you will have to retouch the rifles as the barrel of the Lee Enfields was covered as shown on these pictures:

Keep up the great work!
