We'll, this is a nice 1:100 model of Pompeii's ruins as they looked when first uncovered.
At the museum in Naples, Italy. And made of cork. Imagine gaming your 15mm scavengers and explorers through that maze! Dan PS. The first time I heard of that cork model, back in 2009, I was still not entirely committed to 15mm: TMP link |

Wow. Would love to see that in person (above and beyond the fact that it would mean I was in Naples I person). Doug |

I would have to include a tiny scale model of Pink Floyd performing Echoes. And visit my Grandfather's childhood home. |

Hum guess I'll have to clean out the garage for something that big! I wonder if you build something modular so as you move from one end of the table to the other end you could just shift everything over and then add the next modular section |

My wife went there way before we ever met. It was eerie and humbling. I would love to game on that table though man o man |

How would you move units around on that thing? Overhead scaffolding with a crane to move a prone player around with a suspended litter? Looks great, and would make an awesome battlefield though. |

Lots of drinks being knocked over trying to reach the middle of the table. |

The Forbidden City has a scale model of itself but I think it's around 1/300 scale. It's at the "end" or one of the buildings furtherest from the Tiananmen Square entrance. Or at least 20 years ago it did. edit link edit edit also link |
