Thanks for reviewing them. It sounds like they might survive falling over a few times. That will be a boon for most gaming groups I believe :)

Those do look very nice. I'm excited for this stuff to come out. Especially those land ships!

Good review and great quick painting info…

Seems like this might be a lot of fun.. fingers crossed…

Those look great. Are you going to add any basing material to the bases, or just leave them that black color?

Speaking as an inveterate kitbasher, those sprue pictures have me thinking very bad thoughts…* evil grin*

@Warwizard- yeah I am definitely going to base them up soon. All of my basing materials are currently in a shipping container sitting in customs, so it might be a few weeks :)

Thanks guys, glad you like them! I predict this game is going to be a hit, it's really well done.

Looks great. Can't wait for mine to come it.

Great review! Now I'm even more impatient for my KS package to ship!

No new time periods, no new scales…No new time periods, no new scales…No new time periods, no new…

Oh, it's probably no use! wink

I am torn as to whether I will use the bases or have the tripods free standing so that they can be placed over troops on the table. It would allow more poses if I use the bases, but overall I think the table would look better with the tripods standing directly on the table. But still…

I love the looks of those things! Are the tripods available separately now?

ajbartman22 May 2014 3:16 p.m. PST

corporalpat… just do it. Stop wasting time.

Nice model, the toys aren't bad either :) not sure if I could use the tripod, would have to start another army, sort of dreading that, but I'll be all over the tanks.

indierockclimber22 May 2014 6:08 p.m. PST

You could have the tripods freestanding, but it would take some work. If you look at the legs on the sprue, the two "rigid" ones have little plugs that slot into the bases, rather than the "sharp" edge of the 3rd.

Thanks for taking the time to write and take the photos. Now if you'll excuse me, it's back to my mailbox vigil.

Those do look VERY cool I have to say :)

Leland, as a fellow invertebrate, I agree these would make useful parts for kitbashing.

These aren't too small to be used as large robots or small alien walkers for 28mm as well.

They're delightfully "scale neutral," yes, and I can see converting the main body into a 28mm anti-grav hunter-killer drone, or a starship with equal ease, while the legs can be anything from the basis for smaller starships to energy weapons for 28mm figures, or heavy energy cannon systems for 15mm figures.

A very handy bit of kit this is!evil grin

I wonder if you could do a small, separate base for each leg. That way the peg on the end of the fixed legs wouldn't be a problem, but you could still position them astride obstacles and such.
