I have started a fairly big project:
In total I have: 12 x T-47 snowspeeders 9 x Turrets 6 x Laser Dishes 6 x AT-AT 8 x AT-ST I also am working on lots of infantry. These models are a good enough scale to X Wing and are from the "Battle of Hoth Action Scene" by AMT, well actually 3 of these sets. The AT-STs are from Micro Machines. |

X-wing minis are ~1/300, while the AMT Hoth set (IIRC) is ~1/160. I'm not sure about the MicroMachines minis. Doug |

Im doing the same as one of my side proyects. Instead of using Xwing miniatures, i go with Bergstrom, Starship battles WoTC, F-toys, Hasbro Risk and custom bases and cards. Movement ruler and counters made by Bandua. A truly adventure to find the figures in a correlative scale (I´m going in 1/350, so i can expand to do a Epic: Armageddon Mod for The Battle of Hoth. Can i ask for the rules you are going to use for the turrets, lasers, AT-ATs and the AT-STs? Awesome Work, truly inspirational. |

Didn't somebody post rules for this on BGG a while back? |

Thannks, At 1/270 scale: Snowspeeders would be 1.96 cm long (0.8") AT-ATs would be 8.33 cm (3.3") AT-STs would be 3.19 cm (1.25") These models are: Snowspeeder length: 2.5cm (1") AT-AT height: 10cm (4") AT-ST height 4cm (1.5") So they are not that far out, and being slightly bigger is probably better, but the relative scale is pretty good. The main game mechanics will try and use the X Wing dice and maneuver templates for the snowspeeders. Slightly different move templates for the ground units. The AT-AT will probably use a turning key similar in concept to the Huge ships. The emphasis will be more on the ground units and I will probably use some game ideas from flames of war as well so troops can "dig in", be "pinned down" and "go to ground". Still working on rule ideas, for example: Should the AT-ATs have some sort of immunity to incoming damage from blasters? If they have some sort of "ignore x hits per attack" or "can only be damaged by a critical" are possibilities. But I still want to try using other X wing ships as well, so having TIE Bombers making bombing runs and Y wings firing ion cannons at walkers will be looked at too. |

any updates? Where did you source the figures from? The old MPC BoH kit? |
DB Draft | 09 Sep 2014 4:17 a.m. PST |
