"Sock-Puppet Forum." Topic

Has there been a poll to create a forum just for those who like to sock-puppet and just vent and post their useless taunting,pot stirring and none too helpful threads? And move them there? Just wonderin'. That way their spamming would be there for all who might want to read them and at least get a laugh if not an idea of who and what they represent. Not waning to "punish" anyone. Just thought they might a better opportunity and would like their own little piece of heaven. Robert

Just like no one would admit their Napoleonic thread was too silly to be in Napoleonic History but really belonged in Napoleonic Discussion. Or was it the other way around?

The point of a sock puppet is to remain undetected, so there wouldn't be many to move. Besides, sock-puppeting is not allowed, so the consequences would be more severe than being moved to a distinct board. Somehow I do not think that "sock-puppet" means what you think it means.

I have seen them here for years. They usually come in the form of ex-members whose accounts have been locked for the sole purpose to pose as someone who agrees and backs up the former account. There is also some who use the same type of tactic to make it appear that someone else also agrees with a certain view or subject.Both use a type of deception. Most of the former are recognized for who they are. Robert

How many have joined in just the last few days?

I would imagine that there are lots of recently joined sock-puppets.
Among other problems this may have caused, I would also imagine that it would affect the accuracy of the Over-stifle poll that is currently being voted on.

Yes, mine never agree on anything. Please give my sock puppets a place to argue amongst themselves.

I'm still baffled by how they manage to post even when I'm on holidays and away from the computer.

Maybe add a new rule--new members are banned from posting to Utter Drivel and TMP Talk message boards for 6 months?
