Many people blog about their SAGA projects, this is mine. :-D An "open the box, let's see what's in it" review, and impressions, of the Gripping Beast 28mm SAGA Saxon Warband. Early verdict: money well spent. Link: link Thank you for your time and interest, Walt |

I shiver at using such thick bases. |

You can always use thinner bases if you prefer

The bases (the round green plastic ones) are Renedra bases, they are about 1mm thick. I don't think you can get much thinner than that. |

I prefer the thick bases. In fact I use Litkos 3mm thick bases for my 15mm and 28mm
.the reason is that people will usually pick up the stands by the base instead of by the figure. |

Where does one get Renedra bases? I'm quite taken with these, but alas, the package above did not have enough. Walt |

Walt, since you bought the package from Architects of War, then look to them to replace the missing bases. Contact them and they will make it right. Your warband is only 4 points. That is a good size to learn the game, but a 6 point Saga game is much better. You'll have more dice to activate some of the more esoteric (and powerful) abilities of your Battle board. Why not buy 12 archers and proxy your existing levy figures as Warriors? You will also need another unit of Hearthgaurd. Maybe pick ones with 2 handed axes for some variety. |

Bowman: good advice, I was looking for Archers that would match. |
