Once again, I really, REALLY enjoy the way you weave roleplay perceptions into your fantasy battle report. I appreciate your linking your friend's report from the opposing side as well – it makes a more rounded report of the game and is like sitting around talking about the event. Well done, and most appreciated. I have to confess that I am sitting on tons of fantasy miniatures and multiple rules. Torn between Armies of Arcana and Warhammer. I lean AoA but these reports make the WH battles sound like a lot of fun, albeit very luck oriented. With the animosity rules, I guess random is a given with greenskins anyway. Is there a route or objective to your games, part of a cohesive map campaign? Or a series of set piece battles? Looking forward to future reports! |

Nice bat. reps.! They prompted some nostalgia for when I used to have O&G. Which edition of WHFB did you use? |

Thehanks chaps. We're using the current edition of the rules. The campaign uses an electronic supplement called Underway. Before each game each player picks a strategy, you then compare the strategiess to get the scenario and special rules. We should get five or six games in total for the campaign (the first three games are all just the first scenario). The green skin army is quite random, and there are lots of random elements to the Underway games, which is fun for this campaign, but not true of all WFB games. Tom |
