We are a little over a month away from the 4th Naval Wargames Show, being held at the Explosion Museum of naval Firepower in Gosport, Hampshire on June 21/22nd. The list of games has just about been finalised. there may be a few tweaks but the list is as follows:

The Inshore Squadron (Mark Barker and friends will be bringing their lovely collections of 1/1200 Napoleonic models, running the battle of Santo Domingo or possibly (hopefully) the battle of Trafalgar in the Board Room)

Wayne Pocock has the Battle of the Tsushima 1/3000 or
a WW2 East Indies action in 1/6000

Mongoose Publishing will be there with a demo of the latest version of Victory at Sea and their 1/1800 scale models

Nick Hewitt is running the Battle of Coronel in 1/3000 using GQ

Simon Stokes will be presenting the Naval Wargames Society's "Hunt for the Konigsberg" game from Salute 2014

George Street is running an 1870s Ironclad game – the exact subject is a mystery but we are told "its not ACW!"

Mark Backhouse and the Solent Wargames Group are bringing a 28mm Roman naval skirmish game

Jim Wallman will be running an Armada Participation game

And last, but not least, NWS stalwart Peter Colbeck is running a modern game in 1/6000 using my "ModernGQ" rules. And if the questions he's been asking are anything to go by the subject is somewhere in the South Atlantic…..

The emphasis of the show is on games so there is no formal "trade" element, although a few punters may have models to sell. Many of the games are participation games and the idea is to present an opportunity for naval wargamers to come together, try out each others games, chat and swap ideas. f course non naval gamers and the public are most welcome to come along and join in too!

David, thanks for the info…Modern GQ rules? Where can I get a copy of these? I have been playing WWI and WWII GQ for over 20 years and would love to do moderns. Please let me know. Cheers
