This is nice!.

"The 7.2-inch Multiple Rocket Launcher M17 was designed to be mounted on the M4 Sherman series of medium tanks. Intended for use against concrete bunkers and other fortifications, the payload of twenty rockets were fired electronically either as a salvo or individually."

Aleady on the Hobby News section, I think.

PLEASE look before double-posting- this is at the top of the front page!

Save your breath guys, Lord Tango can and will repost anything he wants. Count yourselves fortunate that He, in his Wisdom, has allowed you to see how nice this model is a SECOND time.

Well I, for one, hadn't seen it anywhere else…
What is the objection about posting a Fames of War product on the Flames of War page?
Keep up the good work Tango.
Cheers,
Bertie

For those who don't know it, this is neither the Front page nor the Hobby News section. This is the Flames of War page where things about Flames of War get posted. I come here regularly to see what is new from the FOW people. (I purchase quite a lot of their product.) Maybe FOW should stop manufacturing and posting announcements that interfere with your lives.

I see it is also on the Models Review page. I guess since it is a wargaming model, it shouldn't be there either.

"Guys you don't understand there is no logic its just Tango bashing a popular hobby on the TMP." "Fatman"

?

Sorry to say but were did Tango "bash" a popular hobby on the TMP?

I may not always agree with Tango's post or the level of painting or workmen ship of the figures he brings to TMP but I do not see any "bashing" on his part.

If any thing he started with "This is nice!"

Oh well some people would complain if you hung them with a new rope!

It's still on the front page. Hard to miss.

@Platypus,
Very easy to miss… I only look at the boards that interest me. My Front page has a picture of the Bridge at Remagen and an item on Waterloo. The text items will vanish as new items are posted.

Perhaps our browsing habits vary?

Bertie

Moving on to other questions.

Do you guys think they really intended it to be 12" range for bombardments? I don't know much about it but that seems odd or perhaps a error.

Bertie17 May 2014 8:37 a.m. PST

Private Snafu,
The 7.2" rockets only had a range of 300 yards. They were "Mousetrap" ASW weapons used for bunker busting, so a range similar to a rifle is reasonable.
Cheers,
Bertie

PrivateSnafu17 May 2014 10:03 a.m. PST

Bertie, Thanks I did not know that.

I'm not sure from a game perspective it would be that awesome but if they look cool on the table why not?

Bertie17 May 2014 10:28 a.m. PST

Private Snafu,
Yes, it strikes me as a "WAGI"(What A Good Idea) in search of a problem… The British used 290mm petards on their Churchill AVREs and the Americans used the M12 GMC in direct assaults, both of which seem a much better way of bunker busting than using thin cased and rather inaccurate ASW rockets.

On the other had the morale effect of a salvo of 20 bombs must have been significant on both sides, the chaps in the target bunker and the dogfaces about to assault the bunker, or hoping that it will surrender without a fight.

Cheers,
Bertie

11th ACR sorry you misunderstood me I meant that the first threeposts were people "Tango Bashing" an all to popular pastime here. I personally like most of Tangos posts, and just ignore the rest, but i know that people sticking up for him just seems to annoy the bashers. It's best just gto do what Tango does and ignore it.
