North Star have put up a picture of a "marine" for their forthcoming pirate group. While this is very welcome, as pirate ranges never have government troops, does anyone know about the curious hat he is wearing… Never seen such a thing!

This is North Star's representation of the early 1700s British Marine uniform which, I think, may have been worn until the SYW/FIW period.

Nice looking figures with great "Marine" scowls. grin

usefull figs , but waiting for some spanish, french, dutch marines too .
