Gentleman, I am redoing my WOTR and would like to know if anyone knows if the Donnington New Era are anygood or if they would recommend another supplier. I am in the U.S., and really want some quality form my dismounted men at arms and othe melee infantry, I already have the long bow done. |

What size/scale? If you are talking 28 mm then the Perry Miniatures are the best way to go in my opinion. The Perry's are currently expanding the WOTR line with dismounted men at arms. |

I second Perry!, for 28mm. |

Since Will mentioned Donnington, presumably he's looking at 15/18mm, so choruses of "Perry" aren't much help. I've only glanced at the Donnington at shows – I presusme you've seen the photos at shop.ancient-modern.co.uk – but they look pretty good to me, and there's a fair variety of MaA poses. Legio Heroica's Burgundians include a couple of codes specifically for adapting the range to WotR – link – and they look pretty good too. But I don't know if the sizes match. |

In 15mm Id suggest either Minifigs or Peter Pig. My own are Peter Pig. Wide rangeof figures in consistent, human proportions. peterpig.co.uk/range_23.htm Cheers Mark |

For my WotR figures, I use the old Feudal Castings range, which is a smaller scaled (i.e. closer to true 15mm) but has loads of detail and good variety. Now sold here: link Damon. |

The Feudal Castings range are really nice. |

GurKhan I had no idea who Donnington is as a manufacturer so giving a scale or size in the post would have helped. And if you read my post carefully I stated clearly that IF Will M WAS talking about 28mm then my vote was for Perry. I was asking for clarification is all. While I am familiar with a wide range of miniature manufacturers there are many I am not familiar with in particular if they are a period and size I do not war game. We now resume you regular schedule discussion. |

Front Rank do a great 28mm range, but for value and detail, you can't beat the Perry plastics, if you don't mind the modelling time to put them together. You will save a lot of money, the range just needs to be completed. |

Personally think there are some gems in the donington range. It's probably worth either looking at a show, or ordering one of every figure option. |

In addition to Donnington New Era and Peter Pig, Mirliton Burgundians are pretty good – but you won't go wrong Donnigton's dism Men-at-Arms – I just got a few to mix in with a collection that is mostly PP, Mirliton and Essex, and they mix well and are crisp clean castings. I agree with Phil, I personally think the Peter Pig are fantastic, Mirliton are good but focussed on Burgundians, Essex are fine, and I would also send out that Feudal are very good as well. Some of me pictures of my painted Feudal WOTR figures are actually being used on the new distributor of the feudal line. Kind of flattering, :). Check out the cover picture for the WOTR- that is my contigent of the Dule of York from the First Battle of St. Albans 1455. link |

Gentleman, I should have listed 15mm. I have never looked at Peter Pig, I have seen the listing on the Mad Axement website enough though. I have reviewed the Feudal range from Sergeant Major Miniatures, and they do look good. Thanks for the great advice. I will follow up on the links for viewing. I appreciate your time |
