Could these minis be configured for the Pacific Theatre? If so, what would the color scheme be?

Thanks

I have been doing a little research on this from time to time. I'm interested in the fall of Singapore and they do seem to fit the bill.

As Australians at Kokoda (New Guinea) or Brits in Singapose & Malaya 1941-42. The links show possible colours.

Fine for Fall of Malaya/Singapore and early Burma – Middle East (8th Army) uniform colours with green for helmets and support weapons (2" mortar etc).

Later Burma would have Jungle Green but as far as I know really only long trousers – Perrys new infantry sets would cater for these.

However, I'm no expert and hopefully some one with real knowledge such as Mark R Davies will be along shortly to help out!

Cheers

Nick

to sculpt (putty) the long trousers over the short is something really anybody could do(and fast).

As the others have said, thery're fine for Malaya, Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as some units in the retreat from Burma (which isn't in the Pacific, but what the heck). Uniforms were 'Khaki Drill' ('KD'), which is a pale greyish beige (Hunbrol 72 is an excellent match). As Nick says, metal equipment was normally painted green, though units transferred from the Mid-East might have more aird colours.

Jungle Green uniforms came well after the fall of Burma, with some units not even receiving them until well into 1944. Shorts also disappeared after the retreat from Burma, as they were incompatible with jungle disease control policies.
