Hi guys, have started on the 15mm Khurasan Brunt herd conversions, 4 in helms and 4 bare headed, they have turned out more cave troll than orc, but with the same green skin they should fit in my sporc army, will be adding more armour and details what do you think?

They look good i am very impressed with your sculpting skills GD, i think i would use them for Urik Hai assault or olog-hai storm troops.

Thanks guys, Urik Hai assault storm troopers, yes, I like that.

Very nice work indeed, as usual.

Pardon my Jurassic ignorance as I have always relied on epoxy putty over the last 40+ years, but what type of putty are you using for the conversions?

Fritadas15 May 2014 9:12 p.m. PST

I really like the medieval helmet look in the first picture; that's just a good idea for anyone who wants to make a squad of 'brunt elites' in heavy body armor.

Actually, now that you've got me thinking of Orks and nobz and uruk hai, these could look good with some converted eureka man-orc troops. just spitballing, but i''ve wanted to sci-fi those man-orcs for a while now.

EDIT: well that got away from me. anyway, really nice work man, inspiring as usual; I went for a similar look with my Speed Freek nobz many years ago, but i couldn't pull it off like that (in 28mm!)

Thanks Jon, glad you like.
Hi TK, its procreate
Hi Fritadas, yeah I like the look of Eurekas Orcs, although when I buy them they will end up as Tolkien Orcs, but I agree they are convertible to Sci fi orcs.

Good putty work on the faces but I think you need to shave more of the old head down. It looks like they are still too long if that makes sense.

At least on the non-helmeted ones.

Hi Rropzone, Why? are they to ugly? :) to late now, they are undecorated.

Dropzonetoe Fezian16 May 2014 5:43 p.m. PST

No, I like the sculpting of the faces. But at least from the angle that you have here, its like the faces are a bit elongated.

LOL don't let my opinion sour them for you. Painting can do wonders for things. :)

I see that it is a two part epoxy based putty like Miliput. Does it stick to your fingers the same? I use denatured alcohol to keep that from happening.

Hi TK, its not a sticky as green stuff, but holds its shape better, I prefer it.
