WW1 has had some love applied to it recently.

These have been in the painting queue for nearly a year and finally made it to the painting table this morning. They started off as normal PD uhlan figures (old sculpts) and had a head swap using the FPW skirmisher figures to provide a proxy for a Jager zu Pferde Nr.10

The 150mm Howitzers have had a third piece added with another one on the way. A second brigade of artillery for the Germans has been completed (90%) allowing me to field a second Infantry division.

Currently sorting out regimental flags for command units now that I have found some references that they were still being carried into combat on both the Eastern and Western fronts in 1914 into 1915

15mm?!

If so….. I may have to reassess my desire to build ahead of schedule for FoW's WW1 supplement that is coming….

I have some of those and they are Pendraken 10mm

CAG 1914 May 2014 11:42 p.m. PST

Yes they are 10mm Pendraken. As with most of my projects I end up building both sides so I have Russian and German Corps (2 Infantry Divisions) plus supporting arms (Cavalry Division for both sides, Jagers etc and looking at starting on a rifle brigade for the Russians next.

German Infantry Divisions (2 of)
24 x 12 Figure Battalions + MG Coys
27 x single Model artillery pieces
2 x 8 Figure Cavalry Regiments
Regt, Div and Corps command bases

Plus
6 x 8 Figure Cavalry Regiments as 1st Cavalry Division
Horse Artillery
MG Detachment

Russian Infantry Divisions (2 of)
32 x 12 Figure Battalions + MG Coys
15 x single model artillery pieces
2 x 12 Figure Cavalry Regiments
Regt, Div and Corps command bases

4 x 12 Figure Cavalry Regiments for a Russian Cavalry Division
Horse Artillery
MG Detachment

Those are really nicely done – hope you have many happy games with them :-)

Very nice I like the idea of 1914 armies in FOW or indeed the Eastern Front, by far my favourite. The west is too 'bogged' after 1915.

When is FOW WW1 due?

CAG 1916 May 2014 11:24 a.m. PST

Russian Infantry combining two of the new Marching poses from PD have been finished

Just under a brigade finished, which means only another 99 figures to paint
