While looking for something else I came across these. Not sure who made them, but they date to the late 80s/early 90s and are quite possibly the first lead figures I ever bought. Looks like I have 11 offensive players plus a punter and a kicker, 11 defensive players, a headcoach and a referee. I used to have a set-up of goal posts to use with them, but I cannot find them.
Any ideas who made them? Are they still available (unlikely I know)? Any proxies that would work with them? Any rules I could use them with Edit – They were bought in the UK as they were advertised in 'First Down' magazine. |

"Gridiron Heroes" range from Tabletop Games – there was a rules set as well as the figure range, which you might be able to find second hand. |

Gridiron Heroes. We have 12 teams of these at our club, and have been running league seasons for years, off and on. Each has 15 Offense, 15 Defense, plus Punter, Kicker and Kick Holder. We invented our own rules, stolen and rigged from other sets, then modified them into oblivion. A game takes us 4 hours to play, and usually only results in high scores of 21-28 points per team, at most. The problem with our rules is that they are vague, yet explicitly understood locally, is the only way to describe them. I doubt we could explain the wrinkles easily. However,if you really want to try and fathom out what we have, give me your email address. In fact, if you want to sell me the figures

Thanks for the information everyone. General Jumbo – PM me if you're interested in buying them. I'm not going to use them any time soon, so if they can go to a good home
