Everyone here seems pretty keen on the Fleet Admiral rule set. How does it stack up to FG&D? |

Not familiar with Fleet Admiral. The website seems to be down (at least for me) |

Well – it's a very much FG&DN lite which is not surprising as it is written by the guy who did Dawn of the Rising Sun. If you like the higher level of detail in FG&DN then you may find FA too lite for your tastes, but it does seem to give a good result that is believable with some flavor while being quick playing. I understand that it is currently being "acquired" by Clash of Arms as an intro style game for their Command at Sea series (Bill is completing the WW2 rules) which is why the website may be down. |

Not familiar with Fleet Admiral but do have Dawn of the Rising Sun. Can not say I am particularly fond of those rules. |

The most recent cached copy on Google of FleetAdmirals.com indicates that "- NEWS FLASH - FLEET ADMIRAL is in the process of moving to Clash of Arms Games as part of the Award Winning Admiralty Trilogy." IIRC FA is largely similar to Command at Sea, published by CoA, so it may be re-implemented as a supplement. The major difference between FA and CaS I remember, and this is from some time ago, was that damage was more variable in FA. |
