Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any firms that produce good aircraft kits in this scale.
All help greatly appreciated.

Check the Squadron Shop on line catalog. They run monthly sales with 1/48 Great War aeroplanes often featured.

In a word, no – you might find the occasional lucky "fits the box" kit or diecast that scales out to 1/56, but really you'd be much better advised settling for 1/48.

There are a few Smer kits that are 1/56, but as others say, go with 1/48 for WWI.
