Hey folks. I've been wanting to make some copies of small pewter models (~15mm), for personal use. After reading around a bit, it seems that Smooth-on is the best place to start. So far I'm picking up some Oomoo 30, some Smooth Cast 305, and some mold release agent. Will I need super-seal for pewter models? And how much will I get out of the trial sizes?

Thanks for your time.

You these models something you created or are they existing miniatures from a manufacturer?

They're models a friend of mine made. He does metal casting, but I've been wanting to try resin, so he lent me a few of his models to try some molds on.

I'm interested in this topic for casting my own stuff. I've never casted before and wanted some more experience in this before deciding how to break up some of my sculpts into parts.
