It'd be nice if Zvezda started producing 1/144th scale WW1!

I saw a picture on a 1/72 scale model box that had the PO-2 rear gunner shooting down a Fw-190.

Only in a fantasy.

Oh come on, I am sure it happened once. The FW pilot slows down, out of hubris, and moves in really close so that he can take his time and get really clear gun footage. And while he's lining up his easy meat kill, the ace rear gunner sets him on fire….

Great for Night Witches scenarios!

Very nice model, and I'll keep my eye out to buy them.

One minor beef: especially for biplanes with open cockpit, I wish the model included a pilot and rear gunner figure. The plane looks empty without them, especially if on the table in flight.

Tried to find any kills for PO-2, and found only the planes, destroyed on the ground. There're two cases of Me-109 hitting the ground in the heat of the chase, though ;)

Reviresco makes 1/144 scale aircrew (pilots and gunners) for WW1 aircraft. Close enough for (Soviet) government work at that scale I suspect…evil grin
