I got all excited but, when you click on the descriptions, the kits in the advanced search are all either basswood or MDF. A few have pics of the foam board version, but they emphasize that the ones offered are not foam board. Dan

Took a look around the linked site – and while I'm at a loss why anyone would prefer foam board over the materials used there to each his own – I've certainly booked mark this site for future shopping. Nice stuff there, and some I've had a hard time tracking down. And the prices are very good. Really puzzled why the search for the foam core – just need to match already owned stuff, maybe?

It's cheaper than the other materials; not that much of a mystery, really. I still use foam core and build detail over it.
