Some may be interested to see companionable and social dynamics possibilities of our hobby when people gather together face to face below. Chow, banter, news, throwing cubic randomizers, talking history, getting to know each other better and the main event – the game itself. I did not want to offer only an After Action Game Report this time.

There are a couple of captioned images regarding the above. I hope these encourage some of us to go play a few more games in the presence of other human beings than we do. For some reason I have a thought we don't do this enough. However, as always, to each his own.
-----
Following the social photos about our gathering, there are captioned images of our SYW Battle of Hamelburg (fictional location). The AAR is woven within a story line featuring some of our metal personalities depicted through their eyes in a personal way.
-----
When you have idle moments, I hope you will take stop by The Campaigns In Germania Blog. It's a different way to present our hobby.
-----
Very Respectfully,
Bill

PS
What battle do you think Hamelburg resembles? You will need to read photo captions for hints.

Very nice! Also great terrain – love the hills, my terrain is much too flat

Belated Happy Birthday Bill, from me as well – another May child I am, just as you. Mine was May 1.

Cheers,
Christian

My bet is on Warburg – the battle you guys were sort of refighting, by the way.

Bonjour mes amis, guten morgen and hello!,

Thank you for your kind remarks and good wishes Juergen, John, Jeff, Chris, Ralph, Michael, James and Christian. I appreciate you taking the time to write here on TMP.
-----
Warburg is a very good answer Christian. The battle was Gettysburg Day 1 with Buford (Fischer's Legion) holding the ridge in the beginning until the Iron Brigade (French Gardes Suisse and Grenadiers de France) arrived.
-----
Thank you again mes amis,
Votre Serviteur,
Bill

Dang! I was hoping to "abstract" that particular engagement for the WSS, with diismounting dragoons and all. Now the cat's out of the bag… Still, well done indeed, Monsieur!
