I do not normally use TMP to promote my blog, but I thought this one topic might be of interest to some of you.

One of the projects I've had the pleasure of working on in recent years was a Role Playing Game by the name of GALAXY PRIME. It's published by Epic Age Media, which is run by a buddy of mine here in Houston, Texas.

In the process of editing and typesetting the book, I created quite a bit of original images for him. I decided to use a retro style (more 1940s/1950s pulp than a slick, modern look).

At any rate, I'm going to post these images over at my blog, one a week, every Friday morning. I was surprised to find that I've actually got enough material to run through the end of August!

Here's the first one I ran this past Friday.

If you're interested, please follow my blog (or just come by every now and then to check out the latest art postings).

Also, I will probably post another reminder in a few weeks, but I'm not going to pester you guys with a weekly update or reminder in these message boards. As I said, I really don't like to use TMP to promote my blog. grin

NOTE TO OLD WEST & PULP READERS:
Ah want to put muh hat in muh hands and offer up a bit of an apology to you folks who might be reading this in The Old West message board. Ah know this doesn't really have anything to do with The Old West, and Ah really waffled on whether or not to crosspost it here. Ah finally gave in because, honestly, this here is where ya'll know me best and, Am'm hopin' that you might give a hoot about some of the other stuff Ah've done in recent years. If not, I do apologize.

Likewise, if you palookas over in the Pulp Media Message Board are thinking that mebee you should have some goombas measure me fer a pair of cement galoshes, I'm raising my hands up and willin' to let ya frisk me. I don't mean no harm and I ain't carrying no ulterior motives. It's just that some of youse guys might like seein' how old pulp magazines influenced my artwork for the Galaxy Prime project. If not, I beg yer indulgence.

Actually, I think that would be a fine pulp-sf rocket fighter!

Be right at home alongside the Silent Death range too.

Never heard of the game or them. I went and looked at there page(s) on the web.

Do they actually sell anything? I think I went to 5 different pages before I got to some kind of a shop page and got any info at all about what they had for sale.

They really need to to upgrade there website to one page does it all cause people used to web 2.0 are not going to chase there tails trying to learn about there games.

I saw the site you pointed me two which looked like there blog, after hunting around I finally found the link graphic for the game that was not titled.

This lead me to another site filled with fluff info for the game which told me nothing but had a BUY it NOW button on the bottom, Which took me to Drivethrurpg before I actually saw something say it was an RPG.

napthyme: I totally agree with you about their Website. I think it's awful, to be honest. I'm going to pass on your comments to the owner of the company -- maybe he'll think it over and invest the time to revamp the site.

And, to answer your question, he actually sells a lot of games (this is just one of them). But he only uses other storefronts, like DriveThruRPG.com and Amazon.com. I don't think he actually ships anything from his house.

Chief: Thanks. I'm a fan of the Silent Death range (have a few of their ships), and I always thought this particular design would fit in well with their line. It's not particularly based on anything they did, but I definitely see how it would blend well with their sensibility.
