Late last month, I ran the last game for this school year's miniatures gaming club at Hungary Creek Middle School. Only two students showed up this time--I suspect that the awful weather in the winter, which seemed to always get schools closed on Thursdays (club meeting afternoons) really put a damper on participation. This is a big change from last year's numbers (when I had games with as many as 18 kids). That said, it was a fun game as two American paratroopers encountered something terrifying on their way to friendly lines. AAR with a few photos can be found here: link The game was played with 28mm (though some of the zombies are actually 20mm sized plastic figures from the Zombies! game) using a modified version of Chain Reaction. Good for you for running games for school kids. A thankless (no doubt), but critical task! |

Looks like a lot of fun! I got my start in wargaming in an after school club that was run by a teacher. |
