A few friends are watching the trilogy, but I wasn't organised enough to get there. I did, however, convert my B-Wing and paint some flight stands black:

Anyone up to anything special?

May the 4th be with you!

It will be the same as usual. Get up watch the kids open their presents ,groan inwardly as you realise you have been given another pair of Red 5 comedy socks. Then its the usual traditional Alderaan turkey dinner having to pull party crackers and sit about wearing stupid Stormtrooper paper hats and playing with the novelties inside ( if I get another Jawa's jigsaw I will scream). Then once its all cleared away we sit down and watch the usual seasonal stuff on TV, why cant they show Its a Wonderful Life or the Great Escape for god's sake just for a change

After that we all kinda nap, Granny falling asleep holding a lightsabre for which the batteries have already died while the kids get more fun playing with the box it came in

So no nothing different

You forgot Grandpa telling everyone to be quiet during the Emperor's speech, and some Rebel Scum on Channel 4 broadcasting the "alternative" :)

Still, look on the bright side, holiday sales on Tatooine start tomorrow. You could pick up a cheap sofa.

Thats true…maybe go to Halfords and pick up a new Hyperdrive

There's always one who has to complain about tradition. Rebel scum…

Well, I spent the day with full-size Daleks. Does that count as heresy?

We might actually get out the X-wing stuff and play a game.

May 4th is not Star Wars birthday, the first Star Wars film released on May 25, 1977.

Chiming in late, but quite by accident I *did* wind up playing X-Wing, before I even realized what day it was.

May 4th is not Star Wars birthday,

*Sigh* there's always someone who has to complain about the inaccuracy of the tradition. Next he'll be pointing out that the Emperor wasn't ever at Alderaan and that Obi-Wan Kenobi seemed to have no clue that Luke and Leia were related, despite supposedly being at their birth. Sometimes you just have to go with the spirit of the thing, and stop being such a Sarlaac! wink
