My buddy just received a large 28mm AWI order from Fernando, the figures looked great and he is very happy with them. He had over 200 pieces done and it only took about 6 weeks. |

I have been increasing my figure collection for 15 years with painting by Fernando Enterprises. In the beginning Mr. Fernando knew nothing about the wargame painting business, he dealt in jewelry but on trip to Germany learned about flats and got his company started painting those, then he learned about figure painting in general. I had one of his initial orders link Links are out of date, but you can see examples of the work. He wanted to know more about the Hobby so twice came to Historicon. Brought his family one year. He has donated prizes for events. High quality painting, even the wargaming category. $115 USD for postage may seem high, but that is for figures. The more figures you send, the less per figure is the cost -- economies of scale. I still use local/US painters for small, complex projects, but for bulk units I suggest Fernando Enterprises. |

I am currently using Fernando for the first time. They have had the figures for coming up to two weeks now and I have not seen any masters. Does this sound about right? MG |

MG, Relax, I've sent them 20 orders over the years and have had no trouble with Fernando. You will be very pleased when that box of painted figures arrives at chez MG! They will send you emails with painted samples for your inspection. I've found the pictures look good but the paint jobs are even better when you see them up close. |

marshalGreg, did you get your order from Fernando in the end? How did it come out? Thinking about using them for some 28mm Napoleonics, just sent them an email asking for a quote. |

I have been using Fernando and Philgreg for over a decade with thousands and thosusands of figures. Both do a paint job based on the quality you want (wargamer, collector, showcase and a super showcase).. Side by side, they do about the same. But return packaging is where they differ vastly. Philpgreg places most of the figure in plastic bags and many of the more complex figures (stuff that easily break) come back broken.. Fernando basically uses cardboard and tape to protect the figures and for more complex figures, embed them in foam. Shipping really depends on the number and weight of the figures being returned. Yes the shipping is higher, but it is normally well offset by the cost per figure of painting. |

I have used Fernando for a number of years, for thousands of 10mm figure at showcase standard. Their work has been uniformly excellent. I have sent samples, which they have reproduced to a much better standard than I could manage. They have sent photos, with their figures next to my samples, to check that they have produced what I wanted. They have always been polite, helpful, and concerned to ensure they provide what I want. I could not recommend them more highly than that. Mollinary |
