Although I'm crazy about 10mm, I think 15mm would suit you better. The selection is just so much better, and tanks actually cheaper than Panzer Depot. You would, on the other hand, have to paint them and I know in a previous post that was something you were reluctant to do. The Chinese could still field largish units in 15mm. And, to be honest, it just sounds like your trying to convince yourself 10mm will work. I've looked into 10mm Korea pretty seriously and unless you're willing to utilize Minifigs, it looks like an uphill battle. good Luck however you decide! |

Thanks, Char. Perhaps I am trying to convince myself about 10mm, but there is Pithead out there committed to expanding his range a bit more. More pondering in my future I am sure! |

Buckeye, Just saw the new Pithead stuff, looks good. If he says he's committed it's usually a done deal. I've bought a Bunch of Pithead stuff. The service is great and Phil is super easy to deal with. Now, I would say you have a quandry. I vote 10mm because of your space limitations. I game full company with support, games for WWII in 10mm on a four by six foot table. There's still a little maneuver room with the right terrain! |

Darryl 10mm
.Pendraken shoudl cover most of this and if not put in the request for what you are looking for. They are very good about filling request. Might take some time but their minis are some of the best. Tom PS if you are in SW Ohio we need to meet up. |

The scale depends on the level of game you want to play. If doing skirmish (1:1), then 15 or 20 mm is the way to go. For larger battles with a higher level, such as 1 base per squad or platoon, (my preferred level), then 10 mm is the way to go. I am just awaiting the Pithead Chinese support to place my order. Remember, not all of the battles were over hilltops. Many, especially in the Suwon to Wonju area, was in terrain less hilly and more open than most of Germany. |

Tom – Indeed, I am that Darryl in SW Ohio
living in Hyde Park now. The Pendraken line I do not believe has troops in winter garb, does it? Char – My dealings with Phil at Pithead thus far have all been good ones. I hope that continues and that he does come out with the promised Brits, Yanks, and Chinese support. CS – But what you could do in the interim is order some of the base infantry and paint those while you are waiting for the support to be released! :) |

I believe Khurasan has some 15mm NK or PLA for 1950. Not a large range, just smg's and grenadiers. |

In the interim, I am still painting my last Pithead WW2 order, along with some Minifigs I picked up from another TMPer. |

Yes, Khurasan has some Chinese People's Volunteers in 15mm. Very nice models. With all the other 15mm stuff I have, I'd do Korea in 15mm. |

@Buckeye AKA Darryl For 15mm, you have Khurasan has others have stated which due Chinese in winter gear with infantry weapons and support. QRF has both NK and ROK. Their Nk look to be in Summer gear. even have some motorcycle troops. No pictures for the ROK but I'm guessing summer gear. They also offer Aussie infantry and command. They have a full section for US Korean era Infantry. As well having most of the armor and guns that where used. Quality Casting has both NK and Chinese. Their Chinese is state in winter gear and the Chinese in summer tho no pictures for either set.
Flames of War, Butlers Printed Models might be other good places for tanks and soft skins and such.
Also another good Site you might want to check out is Armaments in Miniature for their Korean War section in 9mm. Hope you figure out what scale and have fun. |
