Sculpted by the talented PF, CP Model's Alien Shocktroopers lend themselves to varied conversion, given that all but two have seperate heads and arms, and each comes with two head variants.
Mark at CP is now offering single-species squads of three models, so those who don't want the whole mixed-species squad can build up units of same-species troops.
Given that several have human(oid) body plans, and some others share a body-template, it's easy to mix and match pairs of single-species squads to achieve varied same-species units.
Check out the pics below to get an idea of what I'm driving at (and what I hope to do when I get the goodies!):

From these templates you could make all kinds of aliens…sci-fi lego for grown-ups!

I ordrered both squads. Anyone know when they will be shipped?

Glad you like them, guys.

I spoke to Mark recently; he has the moulds and has begun test casting, with good results. As you probably know, CP Models delivers consistently high quality casts, so I think he'll be experimenting a bit to get it perfect.

Also, he's got another new line out – the single-cast starship crew, so I guess he's pretty busy, but in any case I think the Alien Shocktroopers will be ready to go pretty soon.
I've ordered loads of these, so I'm pretty stoked that they're going to be available soon.

Update: Mark told me that casting and posting will begin next week, so we should get our minis soon, Fonthill.

Hi Jamie thanks for posting here, the promotion is much appreciated.

We will start casting and posting voucher scheme orders out from next week.

Got my first package yesterday – great looking minis – crisp, characterful and adaptable!

After such a long build-up, reading PF's sculpting blog, supporting the crowdfunder and then CP Model's voucher scheme, it's really great to have these figures in my hands at last. They really were worth the wait!
