I just got a pair of the laser-cut wooden E-Raptor Dragon Dice Towers. (These look super for playing Dragon Dice!) Allegedly, you can take them apart for travel and re-assemble as needed.

For folks experienced with these, or Litko's, or anyone's laser-cut towers: how well do the locking tabs hold up with repeated dis/mantling? Any breakage issues?

It's a pretty snug fit now, and I'm concerned that the narrow locking tabs might snap if I'm bringing them along to game nights each week. But these are very large towers, and disassembly for travel would be very practical…

you might want to do some sanding so the parts slide together without force.

Not too much though or they won't hold together. Also do it when there is low humidity, and only use a fine grit sandpaper for the job. You want the parts to slide smoothly together but to STAY together as well.

After meditating on this, I think I'll wind up painting them and then leaving them assembled. WIll just have to find a travel box to hold the pair of them. Fortunately, they nest together pretty well.
