Well at Recon I picked up a vast amount of loose castings from the new owners of Frontier. These are nice shiney pewter and unsorted. I expect it will take several months just to sort them. A rough estimate is round 10,000 + 25mm and at least 5.000 of the 15mm. I will sort the 25mm first. I may take these to Historicon and sale even if I have to get a flea market table. I still have to do a cost of going estimate. I will be putting them on ebay wither in groups of 100 or by the pound. |

New Owners of Frontier? This is real news. Is he/she/they planning on selling them outside of local cons? |

I've seen people sell dice by the cup. I hope you can make Historicon. Vince |

I have heard rumors of a new owner but I was not aware that anyone has actually seen one. I hope you got the opportunity to tag his ear. |

I took 100s of bags of Frontier to Historicon last year. So I may do the loose this year. I have had decent luck selling them on ebay. I have not idea what is the future of casting for the company. I do not know what her plans are. I am just trying to help them out. I started sorting today. it will be a long process. i ran accross FPW, Itlaians, Zulus and SYW troops today. So many boxes. it will be a long process. LOL |

Rudy would it be possible to get a notification of when you put them up for sale on e-bay? I have been waiting forever for the 25mm frontier colonials to be available again. |

I will post something. There are plenty of colonials so far. Briitish line, Highlanders, Chinese of different types, Russians, Italians, Boers, pathans, Zulus, etc. |

Well I am just about through with the first series of sorts based on headgears for the 25mm. A lot of Zulus but limited number of Shields. A number of Seminoles and other pre-gunpower castings. The are a large number of Americans in the Texan or Mexican American War soft cpas which can be used for the American Filibuster troops too. large number of Pith helmet with ( highlanders and Italian Bergassali)and without feathers 9British and German) Both Union and CSA troops, Large num,ber of troops in European troops in shako or tall Kepi. A number of surprise finds including large 28mm Austrians for the SYW; Prussian Napoleonic militia in soaft cap (maybe for the Danish-Prussian War? 10mm SYW or American Revolution troops. I have not done the 15mm yet which is where the bulk of these are found. A loto f horses and riders. It may be a pick and take on them as a first come basis. |
