I went out today and bought the materials to do it myself. You take either a craft organizer tray or clear tackle box. I got both from Walmart a 36 container and a 32 one. Both where around $7. USD The name brand of the 36 is Flambeau is a bit smaller so only one die will fit(16mm D6) plus only comes with 10 dividers so I had to purchase more(2.95 per 12) Now what you do it put die in each compartment seal it up label each compartment and when multiples of rolls are needed you shake the box slam it down and read off the number for each roll. No more cocked die. no more complaints of cheating. So I am doing one Box of 2D6 and one of 1D6. Perfect for almost all the games I play,FOW especially. |

Interesting concept. At least it will save you from chasing overthrown dice!!! Similarily the Battle Simulation Center back in Ft Hood Texas in the days before going all computer used a "Random Number Generator" that had two different color dice in a cleaned out empty baby food jar. You just picked it up and taped it on the table to get your "roll." Sometimes you just referred to the one of the die to determine a result (1-6). Sometime you used both (2-12). Enjoy! VB |

Sounds kinda like the roller from Travel Yatzi:
This one shakes the table less :) |

Cool
now if we could get a 4 x 4 "Travel Yatzee" thingy that would do well for most FoW rolls (i.e. the FoW dice sets only come in 16 to begin with. Need to go beyond 16 roll again and cound the cells needed, same as when you go less! |

I have seen similar things being used at conventions and I think they are an excellent idea. I wouldn't want to play with one, though-- I still really like feeling the dice rattle in my hand. |

I understand their purpose (and have seen a few at cons) but I want to hold the dice in my hands. |

I would only use it for large amounts of Dice, like say a FOW American Armored Inf Platoon with all the HMG,ie 30 HMG dice,12 ^LMG dice and 6 Inf Dice |

Fair opionion. But I've also seen those chronic "can't keep the dice roll on the table" guys that I wish would use something like this. Can't imagine how much of my life has been wasted by my opponents crawling around the floor looking for that loose die
I've done it too of course, but I at least try to use a dice rolling box to control them. My best friend/gamer is a rather "flamboyant" dice roller and has got quite the windup and realease. It's all I can do to keep my cool when his dice go flying off the table over and over!!!!! ;) H |

Well I plan on using it. Will make the FOW games go faster. I will also when running games always wear a shirt with this on it:The GM is always right. |
