Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

Hi,

I've been looking into digital sculpting with hopes of augmenting my traditional sculpting. Looking primarily at getting zbrush, although there are some strong contenders.

My current computer is outdated for what I need. Do I've been looking to buy a new one, but not an expensive one. I've looked at standard desktop/pcs, convertable pcs, macs and tablets. I've seen multiple YouTube videos showing zbrush on the surface pro.

But I'm just not sure what is best. Can you recommend anything specifically? Advise me on what you've used which works. I imagine a touchscreen stylus would be better than the mouse route.

Your thoughts would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Summart if funds allow a Wacom Cintiq would be ideal, although I use a PC and a MS Surface pro 2 and zbrush works perfectly on both.

Cheers

A cintiq, or draw on display, isn't needed, however, a tablet is a must. Thankfully, the competition in the tablet market has improved greatly and you no longer need to pay wacom's exorbitant prices to get a good quality digital tablet.

Zbrush is the preferred software these days, but it has a steep learning curve.

There are other options, but few will give you the feel of traditional sculpting, and learning traditional polygon based 3D packages will take a lot of time.

Thanks Both for your advice. Surface Pro and SP 2 looks like a real contender. Cintiq looks to be out of my price range – although, now it's a Wacom and tablet screen, seems to be very promising. Thanks again.
