Hi, I finally finished the first of many modules to come for my Dungeon Crawl project. Each module will be 27cm by 27cm. I started witha Crypt theme, all complete with skeletons in alcoves, sacrifical offerings, urns etc. If you are interested in how I created the module you can find a three part tutorial on my blog, including material lists and step-by-step instructions. wp.me/p49oPQ-b8

That is REALLY nice. It's a real piece of art. I dream about doing something similar, but space considerations make it impossible. |

Very well done. Making the piece self-contained allows you to add all kinds of details. Burning with envy! |

Thank you all for your kind words. I am seriously flabbergasted of all the positive feedback. Skyrim was indeed the major source for inspiration. The crypts in the game get repetitive after a while, but they are nevertheless cool locations. I'll work on 3 more crypt themed tiles next, followed by 4 natural cave themed ones, 4 living quarter ones and finally 4 underdark ones. That should give me a good selection for starters and enough modules to have a nicely sized and varied Dungeon for my players. |

Finally everything is finished. I now covered all sides with styrene and the top of the module matches now the cavern walls. Quite some work and to be honest, I should have started doing this stuff, but I did not have the materials at hand at the time. The final part of the tutorial as always on my blog with more pictures, material list and step-by-step instructions. The finished module:
Not entirely perfect, but I guess the next module will look better. Finally a nice group shot of my crypt dwellers:

I also thought Skyrim. To the point
DAMN that is impressive. Very very cool, a true piece of miniature art. The little stuff like the urns and candles really set it off. |

Hi all, I just made my YouTube debut with the first video being a short feature on the Crypt of the Damned. It is a short commented overview of its features with some alternative pictures and music. The voice belongs to Syl of the PaintedRogue Blog. Big thanks to her! I'll do more videos of this kind in the future, but also plan to do tutorials, battle reports etc. YouTube link |
