I've always called games, or more precisely the campaign system for games like Necromunda, Gangs of Mega City 1, Mordhiem, Dux Britanniarum etc., "Warband Campaigns." I know this might sound like a stupid question, and it probably is, but is there an industry standard name that I've missed all these years? Cheers. |

"Snarfgrobbler campaign" is the generally recognized term used by insiders, but "warband" or "skirmish" is also acceptable. |

There is no industry standard for anything, as far as I can tell. In our neck of the woods, "skirmish" is generally the term used, and "warbands" gets trotted out for ancient/medieval operational levels that exist somewhere between skirmish and army. |

Hate to be pedantic Darth but I'm pretty sure there is an umlaut in Snarfgröbbler |

I believe the umlaut is regarded as optional these days
