I note on Amazon you can pre order a bolt action tank war supplement. Anybody know anything about this? It suggests mass tank actions with reference to Kursk does this mean the use of smaller models?

From what I've seen and heard. They're idea of massed armor is a platoon of tanks. So three to five vehicles a side.
I should think a 4'x8' table would do…

It contains the BA rules for massed tanks and mechanised infantry. And it contains new rules for a multiplayer game where you control one tank, devide into two teams and have great fun.

That sounds about right, however if you really wanted a "Mass Armor" battle, say a company 15 per side.. then I definetly agree with 'Grump Monkeys" suggestion:

"Either smaller models, or a football field."

And the football field would be just about right, or else go with 1/100 – 15mm scale.
