How do the Perry Brothers 28mm samurai compare in size to the Dixon samurai? I've seen the Perry Brothers figures. They are definitely 28mm (and beautiful). Can you mix the Dixon figures with them, side by side? |

Dixon are enormous. I've never found anyone they "scale" with other than Renegade? |

Besides the "balloon" heads, the Dixon's have dwarfish legs. |

Dixon might scale OK with the bigger Clan War minis (like Crab and Unicorn clans), but that's about it. They certainly wouldn't scale with Crane Clan, which look good next to Perry minis. |

Dixon's are unique. They are nice figures but will not match up with anything else. |

Agreed with all the above comments on Dixon. They are a lot of fun to paint (unlike Perry), but you need to be okay with a more stylized look. They may be closer to 25mm than 28. I haven't seen them for a long time, but that's my memory. |

Dixon are a bit pumpkin heady. If you want realistic looking miniatures then Perry are a better idea. |

Some of the Dixon ones work with others, and a few of their vignettes terrain stuff and their "women and other" can work, especially with games like ronin where there are often "civilian peasants" involved in several scenarios. The Perry ones are still a whole lot better though |

Curteys Minitures have a range of C13th Samurai which might be of use. link |

I have been painting up a bunch of Perry Samurai recently. Absolutely great figures
