This is a blog report on a recent battle between the Swedes and the Saxons. Swedes uncharacteristically on the defensive against three times their number of Saxons! We did give them artillery though! link |

Great looking battle, from the table to the figures to the number of figures, it looks fantastic. |

Nice. Did the Saxons usually fight that deep? |

That is a huge press of regiments trying to get through a narrow gap – that was their challenge. We used Beneath the Lily Banners. Infantry are 2 deep in line, Horse are a single line of models per squadron unless using the 'All or Nothing' regimental charge option which simulates waves of squadrons hitting the same target in sequence. The Saxons had 24 squadrons and the Swedes 5. Some would say
fair odds |

GNW was the first period I truly fell in love with, and you have done it great justice. |

Thanks for all the comments
the snow effect was achieved for less than $5 USDUS (about 3GBP) I call that good value! We ran the game 3 times over two days so 10 different players got to have a go at it.. even more good value! |

Great looking terrain and figures! The GNW has always been one of my favorite 18th century wars. |

OK just learned something as I was not familiar with the Great Northern War. Beautiful table and minis, well done. |
