We played another scenario from Chris' excellent 'With Fire and Sword' book. This was a small affair in So Carolina in 1780.
Introduced a newbie to the rules and had a generally good time.

Is your 1st layer matting dyed or painted? – it renders such an excellent platform for the rest of your terrain.

The game mat is just a cheap old bedsheet that was dyed and then sprayed with cheapest paint from the hardware store. Over the years it has taken on a interesting patina.
