It looks very tidy.
In the early 70's the family holiday in Belgium included Hill 62, Sanctuary Wood. I think they were German trenches.
It looked like it had been left by the troops only yesterday, with scattered bits of equipment and stacks of rusting helmets, and some shattered tree trunks visible among more recent growth. Very atmospheric especially as the first visit was during a violent thunderstorm.
