Also any other suggestions on your favorite AWI figure ranges, I hate plastics, but don't want to spend a ton of money.

Thanks Mark

My current favorite AWI figures in 28mm are:
Eureka, for Ragged Continentals
Fife and Drum
Foundry
Perry
Old Glory (probably the cheapest, and still very nice)
King's Mountain
Front Rank

John, quick question for you. How well do the Eureka continentals sized up next to perry and old glory as they represent the majority of my figures. Thanks.

dam040923 Apr 2014 2:34 p.m. PST

Warstore has them.

John, you seem to be the expert, it says that the F&D are 30mm how would they match up with Old Glory? It also says that the OGs are 25mm, do they match well with Perrys?

It seems that everyone has their own measurement system for miniatures these days.
I will check out the lines you suggested, thanks for the info.

I am the guy who "commissioned" the original Eureka Ragged Continentals in the 100 Club. One of my design requirements was that they be "compatible" with Perry figures. grin So, that's taken care of.

I think Front Rank and King's Mountain are compatible also.

Fife and Drum are slim, but in an "anatomically correct" 1/56 scale. I think they fit fine with the others. I have the militia and Minutemen and they mixed well in the same units in our last game.

28mm came from "heroic 25mm" figures, but no one holds to what the numbers.
Fife and Drum and King's Mountain maintain a strict 1/56 scale.
So, they fit in well with "heroic 28mm"
28mm figures are measured to the eye, which I have always thought to be dumb. They turn out fine with OG whose "scale" is pretty much "goes along with everybody else".

To be honest, the only real way is to try to get a minimum number of samples before you jump into it and see for yourself. "Do they match up with…" is a subjective uestion. I happily mix almost everything.
