We may not agree who was the best President of the US, but James Buchanan has been the unanimous choice for either worst or second worst since the first poll of historians in 1948.

Here's to you Mr. President. You may not get the entire blame for the Civil War, but you certainly did your part to make sure it wasn't prevented. Without the ACW the only mid-ninteenth century American wars we would be gaming would involve indians and Mormans.

Filmore was a sort of non-entity (became president upon Zachary Taylor's death), but no major disasters (beyond the Compromise of 1850) happened on his watch, so I'm not sure why he's rated so low.

And yes, Buchanan probably deserves his spot at the very bottom-although he IS the only US presidnt from Pennsylvania :)
