Hi all, does anyone market fanion flags for my 28mm French units please? Lots of tricoleurs, but what about the rest of the regiment Was its a spearpoint or leafpoint on the top of the fanion pole
..? And did battalion fanions have any chords etc decoration Many thanks, Postscript!Ive just read that officially there was no writing on the fanions, and even I can paint a plain flag, but the period illustrations I have seen all have fancy doo-dahs all over them
.. So which is correct? |

GMB do Fannions. No chords as far as i'm aware. |

Officially they left without writing and were solid colours. In practice they had distinctions. |

Thanks chaps. I'll be getting some GMB flags so a timely recommendation. Has anyone here tried the Victrix decal flags? |

I picked some up but they are decals so you have to stick them to something first. To me that's an additional too fiddly step to bother with so I've never used them and I've been buying GMB flags since. However, looks like some people prefer them. So I guess you pays your money and takes your choice. TMP link |
