Thank you very much! Realy glad that you like my work, keeps one going:)
@Black Cavalier, tough question, but I´ll try to answer it
The swich of the rules might be the butterfly syndrome, new shiny stuff
but at the moment I feel that our mash up rules might have got a bit to mash up, to many chef´s and a bit to much details wich conclude with that I at the moment don´t have the time or strenght to work them throught and get them where I want them
SO it was easier to jump on to the next flower and make a small addaption and get realy good and interesting games as I did with the Donnybrook rules.
The Donnybrook rules have absolutely turned out to be (at the moment) my favourite set of rules much due to it´s easy approach to wargaming, slim and easy rules (almost ascetic) and role-playing approach using Characters etc. Your games realy improve by a umpire that can settle the scores and add to the story and narrative.
I suppouse the rules in it self arn´t pioneering, but in combination with the setting and story they give at least me what I look for in wargaming, a good time with my friends, laughter, nice terrain, nice minis, telling and playing a interesting and exiting story in an historical context, drink a beer and enjoy one self.
Please feel free to ask more if my answer was somewhat unclere
have a realu good week !
Best regards Michael
